MgF2 (Magnesium Fluoride) Crystal

Magnesium fluoride (MgF2) is a fluoride-based single crystal with excellent optical transparency from the vacuum ultraviolet through the infrared. It is birefringent and possesses one of the widest transmission ranges among common optical fluoride materials.

MgF2 crystals are used in ultraviolet optics, polarizing optical components, and optical windows requiring durability and broad spectral transmission.
