LiF (Lithium Fluoride) Crystal

Lithium fluoride (LiF) is a fluoride-based single crystal with the widest optical transparency range among common fluoride crystals, extending from the vacuum ultraviolet through the infrared. Its low refractive index and low solubility in many solvents make it valuable for specialized optical applications.

LiF crystals are used in vacuum ultraviolet (VUV) optics, spectroscopy, and as dosimeters in thermoluminescent radiation detection.
