LYSO Crystal
LYSO (Lutetium Yttrium Oxyorthosilicate) is a cerium-doped scintillation crystal known for its high density, fast decay time, and high light yield compared to many other common scintillator materials.
LYSO crystals are the scintillator of choice for modern PET (positron emission tomography) and time-of-flight PET imaging systems, and are also used in high-energy physics detectors requiring fast, high-precision radiation detection.
