Osmium Sputtering Target

Osmium (Os) is the densest naturally occurring element and a member of the platinum group, prized for its extreme hardness, high melting point, and outstanding wear resistance. These properties make osmium sputtering targets well suited for applications demanding exceptional durability and dimensional stability.

Sputtered osmium films are used to produce extremely hard, wear-resistant coatings for precision instruments, electrical contacts, and specialized microelectronic components. Osmium and its alloys with other platinum-group metals are also explored for catalytic thin-film applications and as reference standards in research requiring superior hardness and corrosion resistance.
