Cobalt-Chromium Sputtering Target
Cobalt-chromium (CoCr) alloy sputtering targets combine the hardness and magnetic properties of cobalt with the corrosion and wear resistance of chromium. This combination results in films with excellent biocompatibility, high hardness, and strong resistance to corrosion, making CoCr a versatile material for both functional and protective thin-film applications.
Sputtered CoCr films are widely used as magnetic recording layers in hard disk media, wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant coatings for industrial components, and biomedical implant coatings for orthopedic and dental applications, where biocompatibility and durability are critical.
