Copper-Cobalt-Nickel Sputtering Target

Copper-cobalt-nickel (CuCoNi) combines two magnetic elements, cobalt and nickel, within a copper matrix. This ternary system extends the well-documented Cu-Co and Cu-Ni granular thin-film families, in which magnetic nanoparticles embedded in a non-magnetic copper matrix give rise to distinctive magnetotransport behavior.

Sputtered CuCoNi films are of interest as granular magnetic nanocomposite thin films, building on the magnetoresistive behavior extensively documented in the related Cu-Co and Cu-Ni granular alloy systems. As with these related materials, the magnetic and electrical properties of CuCoNi films can be tuned through composition and post-deposition annealing.
