Fluorine-Doped Tin Oxide Sputtering Target

Fluorine-doped tin oxide (FTO, SnO2:F) is an indium-free transparent conducting oxide known for its mechanical, chemical and electrochemical stability, along with tolerance to high processing temperatures that exceeds many other transparent conductors.

Sputtered FTO thin films are used as transparent front electrodes in thin-film photovoltaic technologies including cadmium telluride, CIGS, and perovskite solar cells, as well as in dye-sensitized solar cells. FTO’s high-temperature stability makes it well suited to processes involving high-temperature deposition or annealing steps that would degrade other transparent conducting oxides such as ITO.
