Strontium vanadate (SrVO3) is a strongly correlated metal oxide that has attracted significant research interest for its unusual combination of high electrical conductivity and optical transparency, positioning it as a promising indium-free alternative to conventional transparent conducting oxides.

Sputtered SrVO3 thin films, deposited by reactive magnetron sputtering typically with a TiO2 buffer layer, are studied as an indium-free transparent conducting oxide with the potential to complement or replace indium tin oxide (ITO), which faces resource-depletion concerns.
