Strontium Aluminate Sputtering Target
Strontium aluminate (Sr3Al2O6) is a perovskite-structured oxide with high transparency and a relatively low refractive index across the ultraviolet-to-near-infrared range. Its particular ion arrangement also gives sputtered Sr3Al2O6 thin films ferroelectric behaviour, including self-polarization, within certain temperature ranges.
Sputtered Sr3Al2O6 thin films are used in optical coating applications such as windows, lenses, and sensors, where their high transparency and low refractive index are valuable. The material’s ferroelectric properties also make it of interest for electronic and data-storage device research, including ferroelectric RAM and capacitor applications.
